




A roundtable discussion titled “Historical Science and Museum Practice: Challenges and Future Opportunities” was held at the Bozok State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve.The event brought together leading scholars, museum professionals, and history teachers from Astana schools, providing a platform for professional exchange and discussion.During the meeting, the Director of the Museum-Reserve, Zhandos Bekdildauly, noted that in 2026, at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev, new state awards were introduced to recognize contributions to culture and science. In particular, he emphasized that the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Order and the Al-Farabi Order would help encourage and inspire young researchers.Doctor of Historical Sciences Burkitbay Ayagan highlighted the current trends in the development of historical scholarship and stressed the importance of adopting new approaches that respond to contemporary societal needs.The Museum-Reserve’s Chief Researcher, Zubaida Kabikyzy, spoke about the revival of intangible cultural heritage within museum spaces and emphasized the importance of promoting traditions and cultural values through modern formats. She also presented the museum’s experience, since 2019, in the scholarly promotion of the traditional celebrations Kymyzmuryndyk, Sirge Jiyar, and the Ashamay rite.
