On August 10, 2026, the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted an international scientific and practical conference titled “The World of Abai – An Eternal Heritage.”

As part of the conference, participants were presented with the book exhibition “Abai – An Entire World,” as well as the exhibition “Bozok – Civilization of the Great Steppe” organized by the “Bozok” State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve.

The event was attended by prominent scholars, including Professor Shakir Ibrayev and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sherubay Kurmanbaiuly, along with researchers from the “Bozok” State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve. The moderator of the event—poet, Doctor of Philological Sciences, and Professor Amanzhol Duisenbaiuly Altai—yielded the floor to the guests, facilitating a series of insightful discussions. The conference was opened by Kumis Karsakbaikyzy Seitova, Director of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who emphasized the significance of Abai’s heritage in national spirituality.

Congratulatory speeches were delivered by Ermek Aitkaliuly Beisembaev, Chairman of the “Abai” Foundation; Laila Baimagambetkyzy, a descendant of Abai; as well as Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of several foreign nations to Kazakhstan and representatives of international organizations. Participants joining online from the United Arab Emirates, Serbia, and Kyrgyzstan also shared their warm wishes and greetings.
